WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is focused on you, what you want and how to achieve it. At first glance the coaching process seems simple; it involves questions, exploring and talking about things that you bring to the session. However, once you have experienced coaching you will see the intricacies of the process and the powerful changes it can bring about. You go learning how to tap into your own knowledge, experience, and values, and are empowered to move through and beyond obstacles so that you can reach your goals. This is how coaching connects what you want with the manifestation of what you want, but more than that coaching teaches you about sustainability and how to carry your knowledge and skills to other parts of your life.
WHAT DOES THE COACH DO?
As your coach I will provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space where I will actively listen to you and ask powerful questions to help you gain the clarity you need, so that you can take action towards your goals. I will help you look at strengths, possible obstacles, and the learning that you possess or that you need to acquire, in order to get you where you want to go. My role is to be your sounding board and to point key things out, you choose your own path and together we find a way forward.
WHAT DOES THE CLIENT DO?
You are an active partner in the coaching relationship and we follow your agenda. Coaching comes from the premise that the client is whole, capable and creative and is able to work with the coach to design an action-based plan towards the desired outcomes that are important to the client and based on the client's values.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
You can expect to have a better understanding of what you bring as a topic or desired outcome. You can expect to have "break -through" moments where you see things from a different perspective or options you weren't aware of before. You can also expect to be challenged and to have accountability measures. All of us want certain things, but the key is what are we willing to do to achieve them?
WHAT IS A COACHING SESSION LIKE?
A coaching session can last 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the client's needs and schedule. During the session we will discuss the topics or goals that you are bringing to coaching, look at them from different perspectives, explore possibilities, underlying feelings, motivations, obstacles, awareness and clarity, and how they relate to your values and ultimate goals. We will discuss next steps, action plans and accountability measures. The coaching session is focused on the NOW, and on choices that will move you towards your desired outcome.

- Redefining your life goals or re-creating yourself
- Transitioning through life stages
- Finding your focus in school or at work
- Transitioning from university to work

- Finding yourself in an "empty nest"

IS COACHING FOR YOU?
Coaching is for anyone wanting to find action-based steps to reach their goals in a timely manner. Coaching work starts in the coaching session, but moves into actions that you take in your life immediately. The focus is on learning and growth that can be applied to other areas of your life, and that will help to manage your goals independently.
